FENS/IBRO-PERC support for NENS courses taking place in 2025
03 October 2024
FENS News
FENS and the IBRO Pan-Europe Regional Committee (PERC) are offering support to schools that are part of the Network of European Neuroscience Schools (NENS)* and are planning in-person or hybrid short courses for 2025.
- is taught in English
- is focused on a main topic directly related to neuroscience
- lasts at least 5 days
- takes place between 20 February – 31 December 2025
- provides a certificate of participation to the attendees
- targets MSc and/or PhD neuroscience students
- is accredited with ECTS points according to the Bologna guideline
You may reserve 4 to 5 places in your course for MSc or PhD students currently studying in Europe, but outside the country where the course is held. This adds an international dimension to your course, which can benefit your national students.
For each student accepted, FENS and IBRO-PERC will provide:
- 750 EUR to the NENS School to cover the school’s organisational and administrative costs.
- 750 EUR to each selected international student to cover travel and accommodation expenses (the students will not need to pay a registration fee for the course).
Through this initiative, FENS and IBRO-PERC will support up to 6 courses and 30 students for in-person courses in 2025.
The initiative is supported by the FENS Committee for Higher Education and Training (CHET) and IBRO-PERC. NENS schools that haven’t received this support recently are encouraged to apply.
Submission Deadline for Course Proposals: 2 December 2024 (midnight, Brussels time).
