Dr. Judita Huber

During my PhD in Neuroscience at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, I found a passion for organising science outreach activities. This led me to pursue a career focused on managing and organising learning experiences. Following the submission of my thesis at the end of 2020, I worked at the Graduate School at the Institute for Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) for almost three years in the position of Graduate School Development. In 2023, I transitioned to the ISTA Science Education Team, where I now primarily organise neuroscience workshops for teenagers.

Dr. Joana Enes

I studied biology, and during my PhD at the Max-Planck Institute in Germany, I started out in neuroscience by investigating the cellular mechanisms of spinal cord regeneration. I then went to Brandeis University, in Boston, where my research focused on sympathetic drive to heart cells. This project qualified for a grant from the Technology Transfer Office to explore satellite glia as a novel drug target in heart disease. That’s when I became interested in entrepreneurship.
In 2017, I returned to Europe and joined a spin-out from IST Austria, dedicated to developing an iPSCs-based platform aimed at delivering precision medicine to children with epilepsy and autism.

Following my passion for healthcare innovation, I later joined Gouya Insights, a clinical research service and consulting company. Working across different therapeutic areas, I currently provide writing and consulting services to small- and medium-sized biotech companies, assisting them in conducting clinical studies and obtaining regulatory approval for their products. Outside of work, you may see me on a tennis court, chasing after a ball.
