Join us for the Society for Social Neuroscience (S4SN) 8th Annual Meeting to be held Friday, November 10, 2017 in Washington, DC at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel. The meeting will consist of two poster sessions a Special Keynote Address by Nancy Kanwisher on “The Functional Architecture of Social Vision”, A Novel Approaches and Methodologies Session with Julia Sliwa on “Comparing human and monkey neural circuits for processing social scenes” and Suzanne Dikker on “Learning and connecting in the real world: conducting neuroscience research in high school classrooms and museums”.

We will also have three symposium sessions where symposium will discuss topics of social neuroscience from both the human and animal model perspectives. Symposium 1: “Neural Representations of Social Networks and Contexts”. Speakers: James Curley, Carolyn Parkinson, Kevin Ochsner and Magda Teles. Symposium 2: “The social transmission of pain and threat: Implications for understanding social communication, social behavior, and social relationships”. Speakers: Abigail Marsh, Jeffrey Mogil, Marie-H Monfils and Isabella Wagner.
