FENS CARE travel grants for training

The FENS Committee on Animals in Research (CARE) is offering travel grants of EUR 550 each to FENS members to support training in the context of the implementation of the Directive on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes, focusing on the 3Rs (replacement, refinement, reduction). The grants are available to support two different types of activity:

• Grants for animal research support staff: to help support staff working with animals who wish to travel to another facility for training.
• Grants for academic institutions: to invite experts to come to an institution in order to train that institution’s animal research support staff.

Training should be completed by the end of September 2024. Recipients will be required to submit a report following completion of the training.
