Description
PhD student fellowship, fully funded for 3 years, eventually renewable, to conduct research in the field of computational neuroscience. Possibility of applying to national PhD fellowships for 4 additional years of fellowship.
Candidate will be required to work with large amounts of data related to signal and image processing (calcium imaging and in vivo electrophysiology with silicon probes), and must be capable of developing efficient and scalable computational solutions to process and analyse these data.

Our lab is focused in understanding how our brain encodes reward and aversion, and how this information is conveyed into motivated behaviors.
Mandatory Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science, physics, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, Mathematics
- Excellent programming skills (e.g. Python)
- Experience with GitHub repositories
- Good knowledge of English
The tasks of the applicant will be:
- Design, test, and implement workflows and pipelines for automated analysis of high-dimensional data (calcium imaging or ephys recordings coupled with mouse behavior)
- Design and maintenance of internal and public repositories, including Git/ GitHub repositories, Python packages and data in NWB format.
