Description:

A Ph.D./postdoc position is open in the Laboratory for Neurobiology of Social Behavior at the University of Haifa, Israel. We are looking for talented and motivated candidates for exploring the neurobiological basis of socio-emotional states and behaviors in mice. Specifically, the student will use multiple systems such as miniature microscope and Neuropixel 2.0 probes for recording diverse types of neuronal signals, in parallel to body kinematics, ultrasonic vocalizations and body temperature, in behaving mice during social behavior. The project involves analysis of large sets of multidimensional data using MATLAB or Python programs, as well as AI-based tools. We are looking for an exceptional candidate who is interested in utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to investigate a fundamental problem in modern neurobiology. A previous background in electrophysiology, engineering, complex behavioral analyses or computer programming is highly desirable.
