Technician positions in molecular/cellular biology of neurodevelopmental disorders.

Technician positions (2 years) are available at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), Genoa, Italy. The researcher will join Dr. Laura Cancedda’s laboratory of Brain Development and Disease.

Our goal is to understand the molecular determinants of neuronal circuit development (in health and disease) with a combination of in vivo and in vitro approaches (e.g., Rastogi et al., Neuron 2024; Potenzieri et al., Science Advances 2024; Pinto et al., Neuron 2020). The ideal applicant has strong knowledge in any (or more) of these experimental techniques: organoid cultures, molecular/cellular biology, or/and rodent behavioral testing. Candidates from life/natural sciences, medicine, pharmacy, bioengineering with experience in neurobiology are encouraged to apply.

At IIT, the Life Science Domain hosts interactive groups in neurophysiology, cellular/molecular neurobiology, neurotechnologies and behavioral neuroscience, and it provides state-of-the-art facilities in microscopy, electronics, molecular/cell biology and mouse genetics.
