Description:
The Department of Neurobiology at the School of Biology/Chemistry is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant (m/f/d) (salary grade E 13 TV-L, 50%) to commence on March 16, 2025 or later. The position is limited for three years.
Your Duties:
• Participate on a project to elucidate disease-relevant mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease using microscopic imaging, algorithm-based image analysis and bioinformatics (Mol. Psychiatry 2022, 27:3010-3023; Nat. Commun. 2024, 15:1679; bioRxiv doi.org/10.1101/2024.07.01.601594)
• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work towards a PhD
Requirements:
• Completed degree (M.Sc. or comparable) in biology or a related field
Additional Qualifications:
• High motivation
• Background or experience in neuronal cell culture, computer-assisted data analysis and bioinformatics
• Good English skills and willingness to work in an international team
