Neurotar is the leading provider of in vivo two-photon and wide-field imaging of rodent brains for CNS drug developers. Our customers, spanning North America, Europe, and Asia, rely on our unique capabilities, particularly our Mobile HomeCage® platform, which allows imaging the brain of awake, behaving mice.

Join Our Team:

Our contract research organization (CRO) team is seeking an experienced in vivo brain imaging specialist. This role is perfect for a seasoned academic scientist eager to transition their versatile research skills to a commercial setting and participate in drug development projects with defined objectives, design, and timelines. You will have the opportunity to become the scientific lead on projects, enjoying a high degree of scientific autonomy.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field
  • Extensive experience in rodent brain imaging in vivo
  • Demonstrated expertise in surgical cranial preparations and thorough behavioral assessment skills
  • Strong image and data analysis skills (familiarity with Fiji/ImageJ, Bitplane Imaris; experience with Python or R, GraphPad Prism or Microcal Origin)
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Certification for animal work
  • Fluent in English
  • Personal qualities: integrity, high level of autonomy and self-discipline, flexibility, hands-on approach

Your Role:

As part of our contract research team, you will be involved in projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning experiments through client interactions
  • Executing projects from surgery to in vivo imaging and data analysis
  • Writing reports and participating in final client meetings
  • Contributing to routine sourcing, lab maintenance, and animal welfare tasks
  • Assisting with marketing and developing new service products
