About us:
The Institute of Medical Psychology and Behavioral Neurobiology (chair: Jan Born) conducts cutting-edge research focusing on the role of sleep in memory formation.
We are looking for a lab manager to assist our international team of around 50 researchers. The candidate will have the possibillity to conduct their own research projects and to obtain a PhD degree.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- IT administration and support (on-site and online)
- Technical administration and support for our sleep labs
- Planning and implementantation of internal IT projects
- Installation, maintenance, and administration of Windows clients and their network interactions
- Active contributions to continuous optimization of hardware and software environments
- Website administration
Your skills and knowledge:
- Interest in technical systems used to acquire neuroscientific data
- Background in and/or previous experience with applied computer science
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux administration
- Enthusiasm for novel technologies paired with pragmatic work approach
- Capacity for teamwork and good communication skills
- Good German and English skills
